Today’s post is going to be similar to my dream travel destinations, except this time I’m going to focus on where I want to visit in the US, living in Canada I’m so close to the states but don’t travel there often enough. So here is my list of my Top 10 US travel destinations and a few reasons why for each! Let me know in the comments if there is any where I missed (I’m sure there is) which are must sees! Don’t forget to come say hi to me on Instagram!
1. Honolulu, Hawaii
This one is pretty straight forward. I LOVED Maui and I want to go back but Hawaii is so beautiful and has so much to offer. I would love to try and explore the whole island. Snorkelling, hiking, beach time, what more could I want.
2. Portland, Oregon
There are SOOO many waterfalls in and around Portland. If there is one thing that I love on holidays it is chasing waterfalls. They are so incredibly pretty and I love spending time outside. I will hopefully be heading here in May!
3. Big Sur, California
This one is similar to why I want to go to Portland. Waterfalls and a beautiful landscape. It would make an amazing road trip with something beautiful around every corner.
4. San Francisco, California (and Yosemite national Park)
So this may be a two in one but I definitely don’t count it as cheating…. First San Francisco, i mean the golden gate bridge is a beautiful enough shot alone, but throw in the cable cars and some amazing food, I’m sold. AND since Yosemite National park is only a 3 hour drive, I couldn’t not include it. Yosemite is similar to the Mountains that I live near and love so much I couldn’t miss them.
5. New York City, New York
In all fairness, I have been here before in 2014. However I didn’t get to see as many things as I would have liked. I mostly shopped and stayed in and around time square. I would love to get the chance to explore and see more of what New York has to offer. I would also love to take in a few more broadway shows!
6. Boston, Massachusetts
Boston is on my list thanks to my mom! She said I should look into it because it is on her list. And once I started I knew she was right. The freedom trial, some cool and unique restaurants and the beautiful architecture are all reasons to go.
7. Orlando, Disney World
This one I also visited before, but I was 12 so does it really count? I mean who doesn’t love disney world. I also would love to get to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter exhibit. It would so much fun to go experience disney as an adult, I doubt it would be any less fun the second time around!
8. Lanai Hawaii
I couldn’t not include another place in Hawaii (and likely I could have added most of the islands). Beaches, hikes, snorkelling, paddle boarding again what else does one need?
9. Chicago, Illinois
I think downtown Chicago would be such a unique experience. There is a lot of sightseeing to do here too. Plus getting a picture here would be a highlight for sure.
10. Sedona, Arizona
Last one, Sedona because its in the dessert. A much different landscape then I EVER experience here at home and there are so many hikes and walks to do here.
Again, let me know if there is somewhere I must see! Check back soon as my next post will be about travelling closer to home!
Talk to you soon!
